Fine Kholmogory walrus ivory knight
This fine piece comes from a 18th century Russian Kholmogory set and is made of walrus ivory. The carving quality is second to none.
Amazing collection you have there. I only have a single chess set which was a present for my birthday when I was 17 years old. My parents had bought it from a Russian guy. It looks like the pieces are ivory, but I hardly know anything about this. Could I send you a photo of the pieces in case you can make out if they are collectibles?
